Then you’d be a great fit for Barron McCann. We are recruiting an experienced HR Assistant to join our team based in Derby. The role is a full-time position and will report directly to our HR Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing:
To support and work alongside the HR Manager and HR Advisor in the Human Resources function for Barron McCann, Helping the rest of the team with administrative tasks & ensuring compliance with current and updated legislation in line with Barron McCann’s Policies and strategy on HR.
Key Summary of Activities & Responsibilities:
- Assisting the rest of the team with HR admin duties.
- Keeping all HR files compliant and up to date.
- Work closely with all departments, assisting and supporting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.
- Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Entering new employee details.
- Coordinating Logistics for new starters and assisting the HR Advisor with contracts and the onboarding process.
- Assisting with various HR Projects across the business.
- Support managers in employee relations activity including performance management, probations, disciplinary and grievance cases, redundancies etc
· Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department.
- Assist in the development of HR initiatives and help drive their implementation across the business.
- Ensure that any issues and trends that the role uncovers are fed into HR line management.
Key Attributes:
- CIPD Level 3 advantageous. Or strong HR Admin background
- The successful candidate will need to be confident of passing a DBS screening and 5 year background check.
- A good communicator, used to working in a diverse workforce. Able to handle difficult situations with thought, confidence, and sincerity.

- Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
