Barron McCann Ltd is an independent IT Service provider offering a range of award-winning EPoS & IT support services from help desk through to rapid response on-site repair and maintenance; our customers are some of the most prestigious names within Retail, Hospitality and Banking.

We have an excellent reputation for great service and are now expanding our operations seeking an enthusiastic technically minded individual to join us as a Logistics Co-Ordinator.

Responsibilities include:

  • To provide proactive forecasting and planning of all transport and logistics activity
  • Compilation and submission of all Import / Export documentation and declarations
  • Direct liaison with European partners to ensure the robustness of the reverse logistics process
  • Continually review and challenge logistics costs to serve each location whilst maintaining service levels
  • Regularly liaise with the logistics service providers, creating partnerships which add value to the service required
  • Review, monitor, and report on the full end-to-end costs of the logistics service, making recommendations for improvements and savings
  • Support the business through recommendations and activities to drive improvement in availability, stock rotation and forward weeks cover
  • Work closely with the Demand Planning and Warehouse teams to ensure swift resolution of stock issues including damages, repairs, returns and stock checks
  • Provide input and insight into the Company bid and transition processes to help determine the optimal logistics solution(s) and their costs
  • Support the delivery of transition plans required to enable our customers to implement their change programmes (e.g. new locations, new stores, equipment refresh, stock redeployment)
  • Check, validate, and process the invoice submissions from all logistics providers

Experience & Knowledge:

· Previous experience working with global Import and Export and Customs processes

· Knowledge of completing Commercial Invoices, SFDs, etc

· Experience of coordinating logistics providers and measuring their SLAs

· Ability to understand end-to-end costings, including identifying opportunities for change

· European language skills an advantage but not essential

· Strong analytical skills, detailed with a high competency in Excel

· Excellent organisational skills – prioritisation, workload management

· Ability to process information with excellent attention to detail

· Able to build and maintain good working relationships with internal Customers and Suppliers

· Able to work efficiently as part of a team but also confident enough to work individually

· A flexible and adaptable approach with an ability to work under pressure
