Team Barron McCann has raised over £5,000 for Cancer Research UK after team members completed a month-long push-up challenge in January, performing 100 push-ups a day to support life-changing cancer research. The initiative was driven by a shared commitment to support a cause that impacts millions of families across the UK.
We want to take a moment to recognise Grant, Kieran, Aarron, Alan, Kevin, Bradley, Lewis, Stuart and Yanis for stepping up (and pushing up) to complete 100 push-ups a day, yes, that’s 3,100 push-ups each across the month of January. Collectively, the team pushed out over 27,900 push-ups while raising vital funds in support of Cancer Research UK. All this was in aid of raising life-changing money for Cancer Research UK.
Ranked 1st in the UK
Not only did our team push out over 27,900 push-ups, but they also ranked 1st nationally, standing out among teams across the country. This is an outstanding group effort and reflects the shared determination, teamwork, and spirit across our businesses. Over £5,000 Raised, thanks to the generosity and support from donors and colleagues across the group, the team raised:
£4,796.30in donations
£656.58 in Gift Aid
With a grand total of£5,452.88for Cancer Research UK
A special mention goes to Kieran Bowden, who led individual fundraising efforts with over £2,000 raised. Your efforts have made a real impact and are a brilliant example of the strength and unity across our group businesses. Check out Kieran and Winston doing push-ups below.
Reflecting on the challenge, Grant Lawless, Commercial Director at Barron McCann said, “The best part was seeing the whole group back the challenge, it’s amazing what #weCann do when we all get behind one cause. The worst part was realising I’d agreed to do 50 press-ups in the office in exchange for donations… which was inspirational for some, and free entertainment for everyone else. Well done to everyone who participated and donated, I can’t wait to get involved in our next fundraiser!”
